THE COOKERY

The Cookery is our new annual training and professionalisation programme, which will debut its first edition between 23 and 29 January 2023.

The Cookery programme includes workshops, conferences, round tables, presentations and performances on the most emerging artistic practices -from creative coding, and audiovisual and sound art practices to those linked to extended realities, artificial intelligence, design, fashion or architecture. The programme seeks to facilitate the meeting and production of experiences and knowledge through dialogue and interaction between artists, scientists, technologists and citizens.

The entire iMAL space will be configured as a large Cookery to share skills, cook new ideas, cultivate experiences, heat tests and boil creativity. The right place for experimentation and exchange and critical and creative reflection. An example of open and networked communication, a space full of tools and ingredients to create!

With The Cookery, iMAL wishes to confirm its commitment to supporting the artistic community. We want to offer an open space to all those interested in exploring artistic production with digital technology and aim to encourage critical thinking through artistic practice, reflection and public debate. The Cookery also aims to promote cross-cutting connections, collaborative dynamics, the exchange of diverse experiences, expertise and networking.

The Cookery 2023 is possible thanks to the support of Innoviris, Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles and the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union through the transnational cooperation project, Realities in Transition and the European Media Art Platform.
